Furman monitoring weather, regular operations expected

While the weekend weather forecast for the Greenville area is calling for a slight chance of light snow mixed with rain, Furman is anticipating little to no impact on campus operations.

At the current time, light rain is expected to move into the Upstate late Saturday, with light snow possible for the mountains. The chances of accumulating snow are low, except north of I-40. The possibility of ice is also minimal.

The university expects to operate on its normal schedule throughout the weekend and into Monday. Student orientation, move-in and other activities should not be affected.

The university will continue to monitor the weather and announce any changes if necessary.

Students, faculty and staff will receive text and email alerts in emergency situations. For up-to-date weather alerts and other emergency notifications, follow Furman on Twitter and Facebook or call the Furman weather line at 864-294-3766.
