SC independent colleges working to keep tuition affordable

During the Dec. 7 Campus Legislative Coordinators Kickoff in Columbia, South Carolina, House Representative Chandra Dillard (D-Greenville) urged advocates of independent colleges and universities to prioritize student needs for the upcoming session of the General Assembly.

At the kickoff, hosted by South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities (SCICU), she stressed the importance of the annual letter-writing campaign for highlighting how essential state funding is for need-based tuition grants and merit scholarships.
