After 31 years at Furman, Music Professor Bill Thomas will retire at the end of the academic year. But before he does, he’ll lead the Furman Symphony Orchestra and the Oratorio Chorus in Hadyn’s masterwork “The Creation” Friday, Nov. 30, at 8 p.m. in McAlister Auditorium. Thomas spoke with Greenville Journal contributor Paul Hyde, who dubbed the event “Paul’s Pick.” Hyde spoke to Thomas about the monumental work that is “The Creation” and what he plans to do with all his extra time following retirement.
