About those really weird dreams

An article in NBC News Better states that “our dreams are the Wild West of our minds where rules and order don’t exist. Or do they? The scientists who study dreaming say it isn’t really as strange a phenomenon as it might otherwise seem—and even the really weird dreams probably don’t come out of the blue.” The story cites the research being done on dreaming, including that of Furman psychology professor Erin Wamsley. Wamsley, who came to Furman in 2014 from Harvard Medical School’s Center for Sleep and Cognition, explores the function of sleep and dreaming in the Furman Sleep Lab.
