Brunch at Soby’s aims to unite diverse Greenville community

A S.E.A.T. at the Table has been organized by some of the most recent graduates of the Riley Institute at Furman’s Diversity Leaders Initiative.

Greenville’s first “S.E.A.T. at the Table” pop-up, pay-it-forward brunch happens at Soby’s, 207 S. Main St., Saturday, Aug. 18. at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Designed to feed anyone, regardless of their ability to pay for their meal, A S.E.A.T. (Sit Eat And Talk) at the Table has been organized by some of the most recent graduates of the Riley Institute at Furman’s Diversity Leaders Initiative, among them, Furman Director of Career Services, John Barker. Sponsored in part by Soby’s dining group Table 301 and BMW, the event aims to nourish, educate and unite Greenville’s diverse population. Proceeds benefit the Harvest Hope Backpack Program.
