It’s time for bilingual education
In a guest column for the Greenville Journal, Furman student Juliana Meade writes that “access to English as a Second Language instruction and bilingual programs and teachers is essential for nurturing the lives and career skills of the Spanish-dominant students who call Greenville home.” Meade is a rising sophomore at Furman majoring in communication studies. Her research came from her involvement in this year’s May-X course, “The American Experience of Hispanic Youth.”
