Alice Chen ’18, a Furman University psychology graduate, is on course to continue a theme she has carried since her high school days in Somerset County, New Jersey. Having posted a 21st-place individual finish at the NCAA Championships, Chen is set to play as an amateur this summer and will go on to Q School to take the first step toward golf as a professional. Chen, winner of the Dinah Shore trophy and part of the Paladin team which finished 11th in the NCAA, spoke to a reporter with centraljersey.com. “I am really excited about what is coming up. I loved my time at Furman. It definitely opened so many doors. Now I am spending my time practicing and getting ready and we’ll see how everything works out,” she said.
