Furman University will hold its annual Furman Engaged! Day on Tuesday, April 10 at various locations on campus.

Furman Engaged! celebrates the wide-ranging research, scholarship and creativity of Furman University undergraduates. The exhibits and performances for Furman Engaged! are free and open to the public.

Classes are suspended for the day to allow students to freely explore Engaged! exhibits.

Launched by the Office of Undergraduate Research and Internships in 2009, the annual event brings the Furman campus community and visitors together for a day set aside for presentations, posters and performances.

For the 10th installment of Furman Engaged! classes are suspended for the day allowing students to freely explore the exhibits and attend performances.

A hallmark of The Furman Advantage, high-impact learning experiences like undergraduate research, internships, study away programs, creative projects, service learning, capstone and other projects are on display during the forum. The time-honored tradition provides students the opportunity to complete a critical step of these deep learning experiences–the public sharing of their work with peers, faculty, staff and the Greenville community.

New to Furman Engaged! is a session designed to help first-year students launch their pathway for engaged learning. At 9 a.m. in McAlister Auditorium, faculty, staff, an alumna and a senior student will discuss how engaged learning fits into the broader landscape of higher education. Students are encouraged to fully absorb all that Furman Engaged! offers as a way to help inform their participation in meaningful learning experiences at Furman.

A fully searchable website for Furman Engaged! is available to help navigate all the presentations offered throughout the day.
