Woman’s work wear upstart gets ready to pop

Christeson ’07 and Turner

With influencers like Hillary Clinton, Huma Abedin and Brooklyn Decker who sport Argent work attire, the company co-founded by Sali (Sumer) Christeson (Class of 2007)  and Eleanor Turner is well on its way to charting new territory. The women’s work wear firm is seeking funding to branch into new markets and shopping experiences. Forbes magazine caught up with Christeson who talks about pop-up shops, venture capital and expansion. A Furman business and accounting graduate, Christeson co-founded the San Francisco-based Argent in 2016. The company is known for its fashion-forward, utilitarian take on women’s clothing.
