Furman senior Sulaiman Ahmad is one of 20 people from across the nation who have been selected to participate in Voices of Change, Voices of America, a unique leadership program that seeks to connect and empower emerging American Muslims to “become protagonists of their unique American narrative and dispel the false perceptions surrounding their culture.” The program, which will take place Dec. 11-12, is sponsored by Auburn Theological Seminary in New York City.

Ahmad, who will graduate from Furman in 2018, is a politics and international affairs major from Greenville.  He is a member of Furman Muslim Student Association and the Riley Institute Advance Team. He also participated on the Mock Trial team his first two years at Furman.
