There aren’t too many places you can find upwards of 300 Furman students, alumni, parents, faculty and employers in the same room. But Thursday, Nov. 9 at 5-6:30 p.m., the Watkins Room in Trone Student Center will draw hundreds as it becomes a hub for career success.

The Malone Center for Career Engagement, Internship Office, Corporate Engagement Office, and Alumni and Parent Engagement Office will host its fourth annual Furman Connections, an interactive networking reception providing a friendly space for Furman juniors and seniors to connect with employers and professionals from wide-ranging careers and industries.

At Furman Connections, employment recruiters as well as Furman alumni and parents are invited to introduce their companies, discuss potential internship and full-time employment needs, share their personal career journeys and impart professional wisdom to students. The cost is free and light hors d’oeuvres will be provided.

But wait, there’s more. Want to hone your elevator pitch before attending Furman Connections? Check out the Malone Center’s Pitch Perfect: How to brand yourself at Furman Connections and on LinkedIn, a workshop that takes place Thursday, Nov. 2 from 4-5:15 p.m. in Thomas Room, Trone Student Center.

Student registration for Furman Connections and/or Pitch Perfect can be found here, along with tips, tricks, attire and other FAQs.

Employer/professional registration for Furman Connections may be found here.

Pre-registration for all participants is highly encouraged.
