Furman faculty present chamber music Nov. 2

The Furman Faculty Chamber Music Series will present a concert Thursday, Nov. 2 at 8 p.m. in Daniel Recital Hall on campus. Guests will have an opportunity to meet and talk with the performers at the post-recital reception hosted by Sigma Alpha Iota.

The event is open to the public and is presented by the Furman Department of Music. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $5 for students.

For the 90-minute recital, nine faculty members will perform a diverse program of Romantic music by Richard Wagner, Gabriel Fauré, Edvard Grieg, Kurt Atterburg and Paul Richards.

Performers include Furman’s most recently appointed faculty, clarinetist Cecilia Kang, tenor Grant Knox and soprano Alison Trainer. Also performing are pianists David Gross, Vivian Hamilton, Ruby Morgan and Dewitt Tipton, violinist Thomas Joiner, and violist Anna Joiner.
