Armed with an undergraduate degree from Furman and a master’s degree in education from Harvard University, Ben Saul ’13 is an intervention teacher at Tanglewood Middle School in Greenville, working with students who have fallen behind in math. The Greenville News reported on the Greenville Alternative Teacher Education Program, which provided Saul with three weeks of intensive training before placing him in the classroom.  Saul was a Truman Scholar at Furman and graduated with a degree in political science. Furman education professor Paul Thomas is also quoted in the article.
