Changing the future of a race

Furman alum Jason Terrell ’12 is garnering lots of attention for his nonprofit organization that works to improve the future of young black men by supporting African-American male teachers. Profound Gentlemen is a Charlotte, N.C.-based nonprofit group founded by Terrell and Mario Jovan Shaw. The work of the two men, who were recently named to Forbes’ “30-Under-30,” was featured in The Charlotte Observer. Terrell graduated from Furman with a B.A. degree in political science and philosophy.
