Last week, Furman announced its vision to transform the student experience and redefine a liberal arts and sciences education. The centerpiece of “The Furman Advantage” is the university’s new model of community-centered learning, which will put students to work on projects that have can have a real impact in the community, expanding their network of mentors and teaching them what works in the world. Furman President Elizabeth Davis wrote an op-ed for The Greenville News that talked about that new vision and how Greenville is essential to its success.
