The Right to Vote
Three Furman students have filed a lawsuit in Greenville County that, if successful, would allow college students in the area to register to vote in the location where they attend school. The lawsuit argues that a longstanding policy created by Greenville County Board of Voter Registration and Elections has thwarted efforts of Furman students who want to vote in Greenville County. The policy differs from the voter registration rules in many other South Carolina counties, said Furman political science professor Glen Halva-Neubauer. The Greenville News reported on the story.
