Paul Thomas weighs in on school takeovers
“Turnaround school district” is the name given to schools where state charter initiatives are applied to salvage at-risk or low-performing schools. The moniker has all sorts of positive connotations—180-degree change, an educational about-face, and school district overhaul are some thoughts that may come to mind.
