The Furman men’s cross country team remains ranked eighth in the Southeast Region, while the women moved to 11th, according to the Week 5 regional rankings released Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

USTFCCCA Regional Cross Country Rankings are determined subjectively by a single member coach in each respective region. The regional representative is tasked with weighing returning team strength with current-season results in determining predicted team finishes at the NCAA Regional Championships.

Following an off weekend next weekend, the Paladins will compete at the Southern Conference Championships  on Nov. 2 in Birmingham, Ala.

Student videographer John Kiser ’14 has prepared a feature on the growing success of both programs.
