Furman, Greenville County working together to revitalize Poinsett Highway corridor

Furman is working with Greenville County officials to begin an initiative to revitalize Poinsett Highway, the corridor that connects the university to downtown Greenville. The planning has only begun, but the ideas include encouraging redevelopment of key parcels, starting new programs for low-income neighborhoods and creating a park along railroad tracks. The Greenville News featured the new project in a front page story.
