The Postgraduate Diploma in Corporate Sustainability is offered through Furman’s Center for Corporate and Professional Development in cooperation with the David E. Shi Center for Sustainability.  The program is offered annually to a select group of individuals seeking to increase their business revenue, decrease costs, and enhance their social responsibility by implementing green practices in their companies.

The program consists of five sessions, two days per month, and includes meals, materials and access to an ongoing sustainability network.  Topics include a sustainability overview, mapping and auditing, life-cycle assessment, green accounting, green innovation and marketing, and stakeholder engagement.  Expert speakers provide point-in-case overviews of topic implementation in the business world.

Students learn current sustainability trends and are given tools to determine which practices make the most business sense for application in their own business and industry. Students complete the course through developing a capstone organizational project.
