Furman closed until 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26

campus-snow-sceneDue to inclement weather in the area, Furman University will be closed from 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25 until 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26. All evening classes for Wednesday are cancelled, as are all evening events and activities.  All day classes for Thursday are cancelled.

The Dining Hall will be open Thursday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 4:30-6:30 p.m.  All retail outlets will be closed.

The Physical Activities Center will operate on its normal schedule and be open from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Call 864-294-3581 for more information.

The James B. Duke Library and Student Health Services will be closed.

All events in the Trone Student Center are cancelled, but the building will be open to students from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Furman’s Child Development Center will operate on the same schedule as Greenville County Schools.

Faculty, staff and students will receive text and email alerts anytime the operational status of the university changes.  Additional information or updates will be available on the Furman website and announced in the local media.
