A most influential scientific mind

Allison Aiken
Allison Aiken, a 2002 Furman graduate and scientist at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, has been named to Thomson Reuters list of “The World’s Most Influential Scientific Minds.”
Aiken, who works in the Laboratory’s Earth System Observations group, graduated from Furman with degrees in chemistry and biology, and received a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Colorado-Boulder. A native of Winter Park, Fla., she studied at the Los Alamos National Laboratory while a student at Furman, which inspired her to pursue her doctorate degree in atmospheric science.
