Kirby named director of Center for Corporate and Professional Development

Victoria Kirby has been named Director of the Center for Corporate and Professional Development at Furman University.

The Center offers customized training and performance consulting services that helps organizations excel in today’s business climate and anticipate the challenges of tomorrow.

“We are very pleased that Victoria has joined Furman in this important role,” said Brad Bechtold, Director of Continuing Education at Furman.  “She has a strong background in performance leadership, strategic planning, organizational development, change management and diversity strategies, and her vast array of business experiences have spanned the globe.”

Kirby, a Furman graduate, was a co-founder and managing principal for a leading network integration company in the southeastern United States and negotiated the acquisition and transition of the company to a publicly held communications and data services provider.  As Vice President of Integrated Services, she was instrumental in achieving market launches and company development across the southeast.

Kirby has worked with top leaders from companies such as General Electric Global, Scan Source Global, Lockheed Martin, Bausch & Lomb, Velux USA, Bon Secours St. Francis Health System, Greenville Health System, TD Bank, Kohler, Michelin USA and American Airlines.  She has also led business seminars with global leaders from Germany, Russia, Spain, Austria, Italy, France, Australia, China and Japan.

Kirby is a graduate of the Protocol School of Washington and is a certified International Protocol and Business Etiquette Consultant.
