Art by six Furman University seniors will be on display through May 10 in Thompson Gallery of the Roe Art Building on campus. Thompson Gallery hours are 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and for this exhibition, 9 a.m. – noon, Saturday, May 10.

Coordinated by Furman Associate Professor of Art Michael Brodeur, “Emerge” is a collection of works based on the artists’ own experiences. Using mixed media and mixed processes, the artists capture personal struggles, childhood memories, and harmony with nature among other themes. Selected works are available for sale.

Seniors displaying art are: Jenny Cook (Nashville, Tenn.), Allison Elliot (Houston, Texas), Brittany Harden (Acworth, Ga.), Brigid Morrissey (Floyds Knob, Ind.), Elise Wilson (Blacksburg, Va.), and Hilary Wilson (Lima, Ohio).
