Furman class gets mention on FOX Business

stock-market-crash-1929In addition to being a Furman parent, Anton Schutz is President and Chief Investment Officer of Mendon Capital Advisors in Rochester, N.Y.  During a recent appearance as a commentator on FOX Business to discuss earnings expectations in the U.S. market, Schutz mentioned that he spoke to a Furman class this semester that analyzed asset bubbles. The course, taught by Furman business professor Tom Smythe, is examining five different financial crises in the U.S., including the stock market crash of 1929, the savings and loan crisis of the 1980s, and the Asian financial crisis of the late 1990s.
