Furman to host Indiana 6 p.m., Wednesday

Furman will host Division I Big Ten Champion Indiana University 6 p.m., Wednesday at Roberts Field.

The Hoosiers finished their fall 2013 campaign with an 8-0 league record last fall while Furman finished third in the 12-team Division II Southern Rugby Conference.

Furman has compiled a 5-1 so far this winter. The Paladin’s only setback was 5-3 decision to Coastal Carolina that consisted of a single 30-minute half.

“We are looking forward to hosting Indiana. It not often that we host a Division I team and it is rarer still for us to host a conference championship,” says Furman Coach John Roberts. “Our team is looking forward to this big challenge.”
