In praise of the modern global market
In this recent season of political debate, America’s increasing economic interdependence with the rest of the globe was often the subject of negative discourse. But a glaring omission in this discussion of globalization, trade and economic policy is the recognition of the wealth of jobs that are insourced from foreign firms. Furman business professor Bob Underwood wrote an op-ed about the subject for The Greenville News.
