Coulter looks for that championship form

Leigh Coulter, a retired colonel from the Army Reserves, played on Furman’s 1976 national championship golf team.

Once upon a time, Leigh Coulter played golf well enough to qualify for the USGA Junior Girls national tournament, earn a berth on Furman’s 1976 national championship team and spend seven years teaching the game professionally. Now, 20-odd years later, she wants to see how good she can be again.

The State newspaper reported on Coulter, who decided to test her game at at the Sonic Columbia City Women’s Championship.
