Furman University has a wealth of opportunities across the disciplines for incoming students.  This program is focused on those students with an interest in majoring in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline.  Over these 3 days (Aug 18 – 21) we will expose you to the broad array of opportunities and challenges that await our students intending to major in a STEM discipline.  We may not cover everything but we will expose you to opportunities in research (both in the field as well as in the laboratory) and internships (both local and regional).  We will explore some local STEM-focused industries and share details about our pre-health program.  Our goal is to introduce 15 incoming students to STEM opportunities while having some fun and establishing new friendships along the way.

Cost: This program is free (including housing and all meals).

Application: Dins in STEM pre-orientation experience is based on competitive submission. We encourage those whose voices are underrepresented in the STEM community, particularly those students who are the first in their immediate family to attend college, to consider applying. The application deadline is July 1st.  Notifications of applicant status will be sent via email no later than August 1st.
