August 16th

Optional dinner with POP staff at 6 p.m. Dinner at a local restaurant in Downtown Greenville. Cost of student dinners will be covered. If families accompany their student, the cost of dinner is the responsibility of the family. Please call Owen McFadden at 864.294.2414 before August 10 if you wish to attend.

Day 1, August 17th

8:30 am-2:30 pm Check-in (North Village Building J). You are responsible for your own lunch.
3 pm Meet and mingle–Dining Hall steps
5 pm Dinner at Younts Center
8 pm Return to Furman

Day 2, August 18th

7 am Breakfast – Tommy’s Ham House (864.242.6099)
8 am Depart for Charleston
12 noon Parasailing and safari jet skiing tour (need a copy of driver’s license if under 17) (Michael/Mark 843.886.8456)
5 pm Check-in Hampton Inn – Mt. Pleasant (843.881.3300 Carolyn)
7 pm Drive to Marketplace for Dinner at TBonz (843.577.2511 Chris)
8:30 pm Leave for Harbor Cruise with Sandlapper Water Tours (843.849.TOUR)

Day 3, August 19th

What to Bring for the Charleston Trip

Sea Kayaking

  • Bathing suit or shorts (preferably quick drying)
  • t-shirt
  • 1 pair of old sneakers or a pair or river sandals
  • hat or sun visor
  • sunscreen
  • rain gear or windbreaker
  • paddling gloves/bicycle gloves (optional)
  • sunglasses w/ strap

A sweatshirt may be needed for the evening harbor cruise.
