Between 2005 and 2015, Furman received over $4M in funding through NIH-INBRE with a significant focus on providing support to 11 target faculty across four disciplines (Biology, Chemistry, Neuroscience and Psychology), as well as supporting summer fellowships for faculty in all science disciplines including Health Sciences. \u00a0From 2015-2025, Furman will receive at least ~$3.5M in funds through this program with nearly $1M already realized in direct support to individual faculty through the statewide Developmental Research Program (DRP) competition.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Since 2005, Furman has partnered with over 15 South Carolina colleges and universities through the NIH IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE) program with an overarching goal aimed at increasing biomedical research competitiveness in our state.
