In general, proposals are more likely to receive a favorable evaluation if the proposal articulates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>how the project will positively impact a substantial portion of the Furman community (faculty, staff, students);<\/li>\n<li>how the project will improve long-term retention of learned skills and knowledge;<\/li>\n<li>strategic plans to sustain the proposed project beyond the funding period;<\/li>\n<li>transferability of the project outcomes to other departments and\/or beyond Furman\u2019s campus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Review specific grant opportunities below for grant deadlines and award process. \u00a0Please do not hesitate to <a href=\"mailto:fdc@furman.edu\">contact the FDC<\/a> with questions about these grants and\/or the application process.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Faculty Development Center (FDC) offers the following grants to faculty members to enhance teaching and learning pedagogy at Furman University.
