To celebrate the Furman community\u2019s commitment to teaching and learning, we invite you to Furman\u2019s first \u201cOpen Classroom\u201d event on Thursday, September 26 and Friday, September 27, 2019.<\/p>\n

You can join us in two ways: by opening your classroom(s) to other faculty on campus and\/or by visiting our colleagues\u2019 classes. This is an opportunity to learn something new outside of your discipline, as well as see different teaching styles and classroom management approaches in action. It\u2019s also a way to model intellectual curiosity to our students.<\/p>\n

Open your classroom<\/strong>
\nYou do not need to modify your syllabus or change your lesson plan\u2014it\u2019s just business as usual. If you would like to participate, you can list your class here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Visit other classrooms<\/strong>
\nIf you are not teaching on the 26th or 27th, or if you have an exam that day, or feel uncomfortable having visitors in your classroom, we encourage you to participate by visiting others\u2019 classes. We will be posting a list of open classes here soon.<\/p>\n
