How many people can participate?
The minimum number of participants is 10 people and the maximum number 45.

What if I want to plan the experience as a portion of a retreat or conference?
This is a wonderful idea! Challenge Course works well for this purpose. We can arrange meeting space for your group on campus and can assist you with lodging arrangements in the local area. Visit the Center for Corporate and Professional Development Office Furman website at furman.edu/cpd

How much does it cost?

  • Furman Faculty, Staff and Students – $10.00 per person
  • High School Students – $15.00 per person (chaperones required and may participate for free)
  • All Others: Non-profit or Government Organizations $75.00 per person; For-Profit Organizations $125.00 per person

Challenge Course experience is a 3-hour program.

What if I have a specific goal or purpose for my group’s team-building experience?
Your group coordinator will contact you prior to your event to conduct a needs assessment. A program will then be created specifically for your group.

Will my experience be canceled if the weather is bad?
Your facilitator will contact you in case of rain on the day of the event.  If an indoor facility is available you may decide to do group initiatives/team building games indoors or you may try to reschedule at a later date.  If your outing is canceled a full refund will be given.

Is food available for my group?
Depending on the time of year, lunch and dinner may be available in our campus food court or dining hall. In addition, you can visit Furman Catering Services at http://www.campusdish.com/en-US/CSSE/Furman/Catering/ if you would like box lunches delivered after your outing.  All of these services require additional fees.
