Led by Furman Professor of History Jason Hansen, it features visits to the bustling metropolis of Tokyo, the historical capital of Kyoto, and the solemn city of Hiroshima.<\/p>\n<p>Experience the tranquility of Zen gardens and ancient temples, but also walk the busy streets of Tokyo and feel the exciting speed of the bullet train. Among other things, savor regional cuisine, watch a sumo performance, participate in a traditional tea ceremony, walk a historic neighborhood in traditional costume, and even feed wild deer at an ancient temple.
