We are delighted to invite the Class of 1976 back to campus and the \u201cMountain City\u201d to celebrate your 50th<\/sup> reunion! This year\u2019s reunion class will be honored in grand fashion at both Commencement on Saturday, May 9, and Homecoming & Reunion Weekend in October. <\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Information regarding the Commencement Procession, in addition to a registration form, can be found below. We hope you will be able to join us and celebrate with your classmates!<\/span><\/p>\n The 50th<\/sup> reunion class is invited to participate in the time-honored tradition of leading the graduating seniors into Furman\u2019s Paladin Stadium. All participating alumni will receive academic regalia to wear during the procession. A wine reception and dinner honoring the Class of 1976 will be hosted by the Alumni Association prior to the ceremony. <\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n If you are able to join us for the procession, please register using the form below no later than<\/strong> Friday, March 20. <\/strong>Attending guests will receive additional correspondence and detailed information via email in early April. <\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS<\/span><\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Can I bring a guest?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Yes! Alumni from the Class of 1976 are invited to attend the Commencement Procession with one guest each.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Is there a cost to attend?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n No. <\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Can I register to join the Commencement Procession<\/span><\/span> after March 20?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n No. Due to important deadlines for regalia orders and printed materials, all guests participating in the ceremony must RSVP by Friday, March 20.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Is the Commencement Procession replacing our reunion?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n The Commencement Procession is one of Furman\u2019s most meaningful traditions and is the first part of a two-part reunion celebration. 50th<\/sup> Reunion guests will still be invited to gather over Homecoming & Reunion Weekend in October.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n What time is the event?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n The evening will begin at 4:00 p.m. with a wine reception and will wrap up around 8:30 p.m. A full schedule and additional details and the rain plan <\/span><\/span>will be sent to all registered guests in early April.<\/span><\/p>\n What happens if it rains?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n A rain plan will be sent to all registered guests in early April.<\/span><\/p>\n I will be traveling from out-of-town.
