The Black History month celebrations come just a few days after Furman\u2019s Joseph Vaughn Day<\/a>. Joseph Vaughn was Furman\u2019s first African American student, and his legacy of courage lives on.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.furman.edu\/admissions-aid\/admission-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/212\/2024\/02\/IMG_7270-768x505.jpg\")
