Fall for Greenville

Greenville is a vibrant city that serves as an anchor city of the Upstate of South Carolina. It’s one of the fastest growing cities in the South, and numerous large companies are located within our city including Michelin, Prisma Health, Duke Energy, and the BMW plant. These businesses and many others give students ample opportunities to get involved with internships and explore different career and personal avenues. With that in mind, every fall, Bank of America presented by Pepsi puts on an event, Fall for Greenville, for local businesses and musicians to showcase their product and talent.

Hence, this past weekend was Fall for Greenville! It is an amazing and exhilarating time for the entire community to come together for a family-friendly three day assortment of food and musical entertainment concerts. Fifty-plus local restaurants served delicious and unique dishes with specialty drinks of all kinds. Even better, there were over seventy-five free live musical performances! This is an absolute must for food and music lovers alike.

Some of my friends and I went to downtown Greenville this weekend to experience this event. We went to a variety of food vendors and ate from various cultures that we had not had the chance to experience before. My favorite part about this weekend was being able to watch my two favorite bands: The Stews and The Vegabonds! They are incredible! The Stews are from Auburn, Alabama and The Vegabonds are from Nashville, Tennessee. They both bring high energy and are southern rock performers. The music created by these two groups of young, creative musicians can be enjoyed by people from all walks of life. Click here to see a short clip of The Stews 9-5 Live from this weekend!

Furthermore, if you want to stock up on local produce, treats, and home-grown fare from Greenville’s farmers, head downtown to Main Street every Saturday morning! The market features over 75 vendors selling fresh, seasonal goods as well as original, high-quality crafts including fruits, vegetables, meats, herbs, art, and much more! You have to treat yourself to some of the best local goods Greenville has to offer!
