October 25-26, 2019
Join high school singers from across the region to practice and perform under the baton of renowned conductor Hugh Ferguson Floyd. With participation limited to one or two SATB quartets per school, this festival offers your top students the opportunity to enhance their ensemble skills and interact with their musical peers. Rehearsals begin Friday evening and culminate in a free performance with the Furman Singers on Saturday afternoon. Choral directors are invited to attend a special Saturday morning workshop on choral tone and the essentials of proper vocal production. We hope you and your students will make plans to attend!

Quartet student names are due by October 15.

Each school brings one or two SATB quartets. In order to maintain a balanced ensemble, part substitution will not be permitted, though substitutions may be made within a part if an originally registered student is not able to attend. Choral directors must attend and be in the building with their students. The student fee includes a packet of festival music for each participant and lunch on Saturday. Directors and chaperones also join us for lunch. Music packets for each participant plus one for the director will be mailed in mid September. Please see the registration form for specific titles. Participants are expected to be well prepared prior to arriving at the festival.
