Our wide-ranging curriculum covers North American, European, African, Asian, Latin American, and Middle Eastern history.<\/p>\n<p>Our students not only learn about history\u2014the critical study of the past\u2014but in the process, they learn how to read critically, analyze thoroughly, synthesize concisely, and write effectively. We teach communication and problem-solving skills that are applicable across all disciplines and professions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Declare the History Major:<\/strong> Students seeking to declare the history major should complete and submit the <a href=\"https:\/\/furman.az1.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_8ddQ4FCtn2CZXG5\">History Major Declaration Survey<\/a>.
