Furman provides students with the opportunity to apply for Summer Fellowship Funding and housing, granting students the financial means to take part in unpaid internships that may help them discover their passions and future careers. Greenville remains an up-and-coming city for professionals, supplying a wealth of different experiences within nonprofits, government, corporations, and legal offices.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This year, our department has over 40 interns in different locations across the United States in a variety of positions. Our students discover their career interests through internships in advertising, marketing, social media engagement, journalism, and media production, to name a few.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Below are just a few of ongoing internships with our majors:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hallie Rae Jones &#8217;22 is serving as the Media and Events intern for The Rutherford, a historic wedding and event venue in Greenville.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Katiemarie Owen &#8217;22 is interning as the Marketing and Social Media Intern at High Spirits Hospitality, a hospitality service brand in the heart of downtown.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Madison Wyman &#8217;23 is operating as the Communications and Media Coordinator for Eagle Mountain Winery, which is located in Travelers Rest and sports 40-mile views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Wyman boosts engagement with the public, informing and educating interested parties about the offerings of the winery.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Patrick Carolina &#8217;22 partnered with Furman\u2019s Admission Office as an Admissions intern, where he leads prospective students and their families on tours around campus.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lindsay Cottle \u201822 is working as the Highlight Videographer for Camp Cove, a Christian summer camp in Texas.
