This program is designed to prepare graduates to:

  1. Pursue careers in communication strategy and media across all sectors of society, from broadcasting and film, advertising, event planning, and public relations, to non-profit administration, public service, law, creative design, and the performing arts. In addition, the bachelor of arts in communication studies prepares students to seek advanced degrees not only in communication and media studies masters programs but also in a wide variety of academic and professional degrees across disciplines.
  2. Effectively converse across all digital and traditional media platforms.
  3. Write, speak, and generate better visual content in their public and private lives. Utilize communication concepts, from those invented in antiquity to those just proposed last week. See how communication gives power, amplifying some voices while muting others. Use better judgment and taste in every medium. Have a lifelong commitment to open dialogue and appreciation of difference. ADAPT, ADAPT, ADAPT to changing audiences and media technologies.
