Check back later in the semester for more information or email <a href=\"mailto:wml@furman.edu\">wml@furman.edu<\/a> to let us know you&#8217;re interested in joining our writing group.<\/p>\n<p>Our goals for the group are to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>help upper-level students prioritize and schedule your writing time;<\/li>\n<li>offer guidance in how to set SMART goals for your writing;<\/li>\n<li>assist you in breaking down a larger writing task into discrete steps; and be an accountability partner for you as you write.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We also hope that those who attend the group regularly will find community with other writers and develop your identity as writers participating in a scholarly conversation rather than just as individuals working in isolation on your writing.<\/p>\n<p>The writing group will be facilitated by undergraduate Writing &amp; Media Lab Consultants and is open to students working on any long-form writing project, whether for class or personal enjoyment, academic, fiction, non-fiction&#8230;. whatever you&#8217;re working on, come discuss it with other writers and get insight, feedback, and inspiration!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Spring 2022: We plan to bring back our writing group!
