Why Furman? I chose Furman because of the unparalleled sense of community I experienced the moment I drove through Furman's gates. From the students, to the faculty/ professors, and to the wonderful staff in the DH, I felt that the people at Furman genuinely cared for each other, and that's when I knew the Furman family was for me!

Which professor has made the biggest impact on you while at Furman, and why? Dr. Oztas has definitely made a profound impact on my life. I had Dr. Oztas for Intro to World Politics. Her passion for International Relations is contagious, and she makes a conscious effort to get to know each of her students. Today, she serves as one of my academic advisors, but she is more than an advisor! She is a mentor that I lean on for advice concerning my journey through college and life in general!

What is your favorite Furman memory? During my sophomore year, I had the privilege of going to Disney World with the Shucker Leadership Institute! In the morning, we learned key leadership principles from Disney's experts, and in the afternoon, we had the best time exploring the parks together! We had a blast, and I wish I could go back!

What is your favorite thing spot/activity to do in Greenville? On the weekends, my friends and I love to rent bikes from the PAC and ride on the Swamp Rabbit Trail to downtown Greenville for breakfast! You get a great breakfast and a wonderful workout at the same time!

In my spare time I like to... Run around Furman Lake, explore local coffee shops, play the cello, and watch Netflix!
