Why Furman? I chose Furman because I felt like I was more than just a statistic or a demographic in the admissions process. I felt like I was wanted and valued as someone joining the Furman community. I visited and met students and faculty/staff members I really connected with and who continue to be some of my best friends and biggest supporters today.

Which professor has made the biggest impact on you while at Furman, and why? Dr. Gandolfo because he exemplifies the student-faculty commitment that Furman prides itself on. He goes out of his way to connect with his students and is one of the most encouraging and empowering professors I've met.

What is your favorite Furman memory? My freshman year I participated on an Alternative Spring Break program about Furman's Seeking Abraham project and how to reckon with slavery and injustice moving forward. I spent my spring break with an incredible group in Greenville and in Charleston, meeting inspiring local changemakers and learning the history in our community. It was the most inspiring and meaningful experiences I've had at Furman.

What is your favorite thing spot/activity to do in Greenville? I love to borrow bikes from the PAC with my boyfriend or my friends on the weekends or a free day and bike to Swamp Rabbit Cafe. It's a short distance, always feels amazing to be surrounded by nature, and Swamp Rabbit has AMAZING sandwiches and smoothies.

In my spare time, I like to... Utilize the beautiful lake in any way I can! I love enoing on nice days, eating lunch with friends at the picnic tables, taking a sunset walk, and bike riding on the trails.
