The Watkins Room is located on the upper level of the University
Center. It is a versatile room that is ideal for lecturers, meetings,
and workshops, and can be adapted to your needs. Full capacity is
385, but it also contains a North Wing and a South Wing, both of which
can be closed off and have a capacity of 75. The center section alone
has a capacity of 250. The room contains a permanent screen and is
surrounded by an outdoor patio. A kitchen is also connected to the
Watkins Room. Both round and rectangular tables are available for
use, and seating can be set up as requested.
The Thomas Room is located on the upper level of the University
Center. The room contains a permanent screen and one wall is a tack
wall to hang things on. Both round and rectangular tables are available
for use, with a maximum of 12 round tables with 8 chairs each. Seating

Burgiss Theater (upper level of the UC) is our multi-purpose
campus theater that contains 173 seats. It contains surround sound
audio and a stage, as well as a large video screen. It has the capability
to show 35mm film, video, DVD, slide projection, and power point.
The room is used for movies, speakers/lecturers, small bands, comedians,
and meetings, and is the main stage for our Mainstage Coffeehouse

The Joyner Conference Room is ideal for small meetings and
get-togethers. Currently its capacity is 15 with conference or boardroom

The Paladen Stage is located on the lower level of the UC
in the Paladen Food Court. It lends itself to a cozy, coffeehouse
style atmosphere, and is perfect for small bands, comedians, game
shows, and speakers. The area is often crowded with students eating

The University Center also has a coffeeshop, outdoor patios, and
other areas that my be suitable for your event. Please contact Nancy
