Hipp Hall, which opened in the summer of 2002, houses Furman's departments of Education, Economics and Business Administration as well as the Rushing Center for Teaching and Technology, Continuing Education and Graduate Education. The building became the first building in South Carolina to receive the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification.
