Future Residents Housing and Residence Life Furman

We don't divide the academic and residential experiences at Furman. We combine them. With more than 2,700 undergraduates on one of the nation's most beautiful campuses, we have a four-year residency requirement. Our students live and learn in a close-knit community where they can share and collaborate their ideas with classmates and faculty.

As a freshman, you'll be matched with a roommate in one of our freshman residence halls or learning communities. Our detailed questionnaire helps us match you with someone who has similar interests, a process that has proved very successful. Not knowing your roommate may seem intimidating at first, but it's a great way to meet new friends and get involved in new activities.
