Dr. Dripps serves as executive director of the Shi Center for Sustainability at Furman and has been a long supporter and sponsor of Engaged Living programs. He currently serves as the faculty mentor for the Greenbelt Community and teaches Sustainability Science 280: Sustainability Leadership and Sustainability Science 281: Making Change Happen. He also currently serves as a faculty co-sponsor for the China and the Environment program.

Dr. Dripps previously served as faculty for Environmental Community of Students (ECOS) from 2008-2015, teaching a first-year seminar on Sustainability of Natural Resource and Earth and Environmental Science 112: Introduction to Earth and Environmental Science. He also served as a faculty co-sponsor for the China and the Environment program for 2016-2017.

His research focuses on studying the variety of local hydrologic issues pertaining to urbanization, global water issues and ground water modeling.
