Students of different backgrounds come together to explore campus diversity issues by visiting various cities and sites connected with the civil rights movement and cultural heritage. Participants develop individual as well as group goals to enhance the multicultural educational experience at Furman. Our tour rotates between the following trips:
- Greensboro, N.C., Richmond, Va. and Washington D.C.
- Atlanta, Birmingham, Ala., Selma, Ala., and Montgomery, Ala.
- Columbia, S.C., Orangeburg, S.C., Charleston, S.C., Beaufort, S.C. and Daytona, Fla.
- Memphis, Tenn. and Nashville, Tenn.
